CREATIVE DIRECTOR
A Floral Designs was built on a simple belief: the most meaningful celebrations deserve to feel as beautiful as they look.
For founder and Creative Director Ayana Harris, flowers have always been more than décor. They're a way to create atmosphere, celebrate life's milestones, and bring people together. Every bouquet, installation, and candlelit table is thoughtfully designed with the understanding that behind every celebration is a story worth honoring.
With a background in fine arts, Ayana approaches floral design through the lens of composition, movement, and emotion. After earning her bachelor's degree from Spelman College, she continued her artistic education at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she received her Master of Fine Arts degree.
Today, that artistic foundation continues to shape every wedding and event A Floral Designs creates.
Known for romantic, editorial florals that feel timeless yet approachable, Ayana believes the design process should feel just as thoughtful as the finished celebration. From the first consultation to the final installation, her goal is to create an experience where clients feel heard, supported, and genuinely excited for what's to come.
When she's not designing weddings, Ayana is dreaming up new ideas, spending time with her husband, son, and two charismatic dogs, and continuing to grow the creative family of businesses behind A Floral Designs.

Ayana, the owner of A Floral, is incredibly talented, has an unmatched eye for detail/style, communicative, and reliable. When we first reached out to A Floral, we chatted had been chatting with a few different florists. After our conversation with Ayana, the decision was easy. She listened to what we wanted and made it clear that she would get it right. Once we decided to go with her as our florist, the care and support didn’t stop.
